Advance Your Supply Chain Career — Faichal Ouedraogo (Hasa Optix Belgium)
Hello everyone,
I recently tried to pass my CPIM exam, but unfortunately I did not pass, with only 292 points made, I am a little upset because for only 6 points I did not pass the exam.
However, I bought a new exam, but I am a little lost, because I no longer know how I should prepare for this new exam, since I was quite confident and in my perspective well prepared for the first exam and yet I did not pass, I would like to know if any of you could give me some tips on how to prepare for the exam?
Thank you very much in advance.
Faichal

I can understand, my first time I missed by 3 points. Study the formulas, they are key and take all the quizzes and practice tests. Keep taking them. Alot of times it is a matter of learning HOW they ask their questions. You can do this! Good Luck!
Hello. Sorry to hear that, I recommend to practice a lot of tests. This is what I've been doing two years ago when I passed both CPIM exams. I read the books twice and after that I only practiced by doing tests. Stay confident, you will pass! Good luck!
I like Doina's comments but then again, I'm biased and Doing was in my class. I'm happy to help or chat any way I can.
Thank you very much for the tip Doina, but a small question, where can I find the practice tests? Because I've never done one, I just prepared using the books, and making summaries of each chapter to better understand the context.
Thank you in advance.
Hi, besides the tests I also watched @Charles Nemer (The Guru of Biz LLC) videos on YouTube - The Guru of Biz. I found those videos very useful and helped me understand many concepts, formulas and so on. You can find tests here: Training Certification Programs | DataChem Software and Association for Supply Chain Management - ASCM. All the best and good luck again!
Hi Doina, thanks so much for your help!
Hi @Faichal Ouedraogo (Hasa Optix Belgium) ,
I would encourage you and recommend you to do as mentioned by @Doina Rusu-Pop (Eaton Electro Productie SRL) . Practice as many tests as possible and also make sure to have a general understanding of the different modules. I have failed twice the CSCP and I am currently doing the same before reappearing for the exam, do not rush to sit for the exam until you have gone through these steps please. All the best!
I think it is important to make sure that you understand the whole concepts and questions before answering them. I passed CPIM (2 exams) and CSCP in my first attempts recently. I think you can go through your notes and try to put thing in maps to understand things structurally. Depending on your working experience, you can try connecting CPIM key points with your job. If you have more time, you can read the books again but I dont think it is helpful. Good luck!
Start with the Exam Content Manual (ECM)! Good luck!
