I have extensive experience in pharmaceuticals (MJN/BMS), food & Beverages (Kerry), chemicals, (Axalta, Sherwin Williams) and consumer goods FMGC(P&G) and Energizer. Thanks for your time!!

    Thanks in advance

  3. Good afternoon, I just became a member to the site. Can anyone help me navigate the waters? I have been out of a job for 7 months with no real leads. I worked in railroad logistics and supply chain management for 10 years. Prior to that I worked in the railroad real estate department for 7 years with a primary focus on contract negotiation and compliance. I have a double bachelor's degree in business administration/management & marketing.

I am hoping to find new leads in the Jacksonville, FL area as well as broaden my knowledge and marketability with proven certifications that work in today's ever-changing markets. Thank you for your time!

  4. Hi everyone,

I'm finishing my MBA in Supply Chain & Operations at Indiana University while transitioning from 4+ years as a Marine Corps Logistics Officer to civilian supply chain analyst/coordinator roles. Despite managing logistics operations for 900+ personnel and completing supply chain coursework, I'm struggling to get past ATS screening for entry-level positions because my military experience hasn't translated well on paper to civilian recruiters, and my prior education was in nutrition (MS, RD).

For those who've made similar transitions or hired veterans into supply chain roles: what certifications (CSCP vs. CPIM) and positioning strategies helped most? Happy to connect individually if anyone's willing to share lessons learned.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

  5. Good Morning, Exploring the academic side of supply chain—looking for perspective

I’m beginning to explore whether a PhD in Supply Chain / Operations is the right long-term path for me—specifically as it relates to teaching, research, and practitioner-academic impact.

    If anyone here has:

    • Transitioned from industry into academia
    • Balanced doctoral study with professional practice
    • Strong opinions on when a PhD makes sense (and when it doesn’t)

I’d value hearing what you wish you had `known earlier. I’m early in the exploration phase and mostly listening.

Appreciate this group’s willingness to share hard-earned insight.

  6. Good Morning, Looking for mentorship and ways to give back to ASCM

Over the past few years, ASCM has played a meaningful role in how I think about supply chain, teaching, and developing others. As I look ahead, I’m interested in taking a more active role beyond certifications—specifically around instruction, mentoring, and contributing to ASCM learning initiatives.

I’d love to connect with anyone who has experience with:

    • Becoming an ASCM Instructor / Instructor-Certified
    • Supporting student chapters, projects, or case-based learning
    • The longer-term path toward ASCM Fellow recognition

I’m not looking for a formal commitment—just perspective, lessons learned, and guidance on where to focus energy in a way that’s genuinely helpful to the community.

If you’ve walked this path (or are currently on it), I’d really appreciate a conversation or point in the right direction. Feel free to comment or DM.

Thank you in advance—this community consistently reinforces why I stay engaged here.
